Article summary

Before you can scan your internal sentry/company and see results you must first create a sentry via the onboarding process. First go to the sentries page then click the "Create Sentry" button as shown below.

Once click the "create sentry" button you will be taken to the onboarding page. Make sure you have "Internal Sentry" selected as the type. Similar to the external and cloud sentry you must pick a name for your sentry. If you want to perform a network scan make sure to supply your internal CIDR range (192.168.1.1/24). In addition to that if you want to scan your active directory environment you must supply the domain name, user, password, and the domain controller ip. The user supplied doesn't have to be an administrator account, you can provide a normal user account here.

Next configure the frequency of your scans. If a sentry is configured to manual scanning you will have to manually press the scan button to initiate a scan. You can also schedule scans to happen every day, week, month, and so on via the "Scheduled Scanning" option. Lastly, you can enable "Continuous scanning" to scan your environment 24/7 365.

The next step involves the scheduling of pentests reports. You can have reports automatically sent every day, week, month, or anything else. Once you select the frequency of your report delivery you can add the emails the report should be sent too.

The last step is to review the results. Here you can see the configuration details of the sentry. If you want to change something press the "Previous Step" button to go back a step.

Once you are done review the sentry configuration click the "Create Sentry" button. Once you'r sentry is created you can configure the agent. To configure the scanning agent see the "Agent Setup" documentation.
